Write

After creating a document, you can start writing in the editor.

Use Markdown Syntax

WonderPen supports Markdown syntax, if you don't know Markdown syntax, you can check Appendix 1 of this manual, or simply write with plain text.

WonderPen automatically saves the content when you finish typing, so you don't have to manually save changes by pressing Ctrl + S. Your input will always be saved in time, even if the computer suddenly loses power or freezes, you don't have to worry about losing your work progress.

Insert Images

WonderPen supports Markdown, if you are familiar with Markdown syntax, you can directly use Markdown markup to insert pictures to documents.

If you are unfamiliar with Markdown, you can also insert images into your document in the following ways:

  1. Drag and drop an image directly into the editor;
  2. Right-click on the editor, and click Insert Image in the pop-up context menu.

The inserted image is a string similar to the following in the editor:

![Image Description]({$WP_ASSETS}/729225a306cea345c4c2a8d23b6dc425.png)

When previewing or exporting, the above string will be rendered to the corresponding image.

Find and Replace

During the writing process, press the shortcut key Ctrl + F ( + F on macOS) to open the Find and Replace panel.

After entering the search keywords, matching results will be displayed in the list, as shown in the following figure:

Find and Replace

You can replace only the currently selected results or all results at one time.

The search box can also be switched to embedded, and also supports regular expressions. For more search instructions, see Advanced Search.

The EoD (End of Document) Sign

You can add a small square at the bottom of the editor, which is end of document, as shown in the image below:

EoD

The EoD sign is used to mark the end of the document. Sometimes you may wonder if there are extra blank lines at the end of the document, just look at the position of the EoD sign to determine.

To display the EoD sign, go to Settings -> Advanced -> Document Editing panel, and check the Show the End-of-Document sign at the bottom of editor option. As shown below:
